Growing up with my Father serving in the Air Force, we moved quite often.

In fact, ten different schools throughout my childhood and a different 🏫 for every year in high school.

It wasn't always easy - it was different.

While friends dreamed of moving away to go to college, my dream was stability.

I went to school to become a hair stylist and while that may have been the goal at the time, a different career path took off.

That career path - a💅 technician which is the work that I stayed at for 27 years.

While loving this industry, the nights, the week-ends, and the long hours during the holidays took a toll on me.

Although I pushed through it, there was a feeling that something different was coming.

While meeting with an insurance agent to discuss insurance needs for my husband and I, the insurance agent shared that she thought that this would be a good field for me.

My immediate thought - No way!

Well, it turned out to be the different that was needed - I took classes, passed testing for Life and Health Insurance and worked part time at it while still working as a nail 💅 technician.

In 2010 and after slowly building up a client base, I left the nail industry completely and started my own small insurance agency with a specialty in both Health and Medicare Insurance.

The business was and still runs out of a small office in our home. Some told me to open an office and my business would explode.

I wanted different.

Different in keeping a schedule that allowed me to take care of clients, but also take care of the most important aspect of my life - my family.

Today and because of seeing the direction that healthcare has gone, I can once again see something different coming.

Within the last few years, we have all seen changes to healthcare. It's more important than ever to be your own healthcare advocate, eat healthier, rest, and learn what you can do personally to take care of yourself.

Knowing this and praying for guidance, another different came.

That different was learning about supplements, about activating health, and supporting a robust immune system. It came with me being a part of a network marketing company.

Since starting to share products from this network marketing company, the training has been amazing with not only the products, but with business and team building.

It has taught me that although I never went to college or even have a degree, we are all different and bring gifts to the table.

My goal is to embrace the different.

Because to be different is not a bad thing - it means your brave enough to be yourself.
