A few weeks ago, Tonia (my son Michael's fiance) sent me a message:

I have an appointment to try on dresses on August 11th at 9:00 am. Do you want to come? My Mother, my Meme, and the girls are coming as well.

My response - Does a bear have fur? Yes, I would absolutely love to come. Thank you for including me!

Not only was I thrilled to have the invitation to see her trying on wedding gowns, but the blessing of realizing that the dream of having my own schedule and the freedom to take time off when it was needed was now in full fruition.

Whether working in my Health and Medicare consulting business or working to provide education on activating your health(Biohacking) so your body can do what God intended it to do, my schedule is my own.

The difference between the two is that with my consulting business, I am self employed and rely on myself to get things done. Although I am self employed with the Biohacking business, I am surrounded by other like minded busy men and women who thrive to help you reach what is important to you.

For me, working for myself isn't all about money.

It's about Freedom.

Freedom to choose.

Freedom to spend time with family.

Freedom of knowing that a paycheck will still come in while I sleep through the night.

Freedom to take a walk in the middle of the day to clear my mind.

Freedom of realizing you have a choice.

It's one of the reasons I beamed when our son, Andrew told us that he was thinking of starting his own carpentry and cabinet making business. I knew that he would have the opportunity to work doing something he was passionate about, but also have the freedom to enjoy his newborn son, Etienne (who is now almost a month old).

When I look at this sweet picture of Tonia and all the girls, I think of the tears running down her Meme's face as Tonia tried on dresses. I think about the smile that Tonia had on her face when she said "Yes" to a dress!

I think of the girls giggling together when we enjoyed a lunch out afterwards.

I think of this precious time together that I didn't have to miss.

I think of dreams that can be fulfilled when you have a team right beside you.

I think of sharing this freedom so that your special dreams will also come to fruition.

Freedom to choose; does it resonate with you?
