Refuel your Tank

The world š paused this morning š .
Would you like to know why? Because of an 8 year old that was running on empty.
The boys had already started their day at their desks and I was preparing to leave for work when I noticed my littlest in the bathroom wiping his face.
I paused at the door šŖ and asked if he was okay.
He looked up with tears š silently dripping and shook his head.
When I questioned if something happened, again he shook his head.
So I sat on the side of the bathtub š and pulled him in my lap.
I told him sometimes our tanks ā½ feel empty and need to be refilled.
He cried into my chest and I held tight.
I asked if he could feel my love filling him up?
A nod and the tears stopped...
I waited a minute...
"Has it reached your toes š£ yet"?, I asked him.
He shook his head no.
Don't worry. We will take as long as you need.
Work can wait. School š« can wait too.
This moment right here is the most important - Filling you back up to the top.
One more minute....
Is your heart full of Mama's love š now?
A big smile and a "Yes".
As I looked into his eyes š , I tell him, " I see it shining in there. You are full to the top."
You may not be 8, 28, 38, 48, or even 58, but each of us run on empty and need to be filled up.
We all have to pause and take a moment to refill with the good things - prayer, sunshine āļø , laughter, and hugs.
Refill ā½ your empty or you'll find those emotions like tears or sadness overflowing.
I didn't write this story, but it sure made me take a moment to fill up my tank ā½ .
Did it make you stop and reflect on refueling ā½ your tank too?
