Whether you are pursuing a goal in your personal life and/or your professional life, there is a common response that often happens.

That response - I just don't have time to achieve that goal and yes, that has been a common response from my mouth more times that I can count.

One of my personal goals a few years ago was exercise. The reality was that when I joined a gym, got to the gym, exercised, drove home, showered, and got myself together, several hours had gone by.

Although this may work for others, the time frame away from my family made me not want to continue. Since the goal of exercise was so important to me, I had to find another way to get exercise in that didn't feel so time consuming.

This is where the power of 15 minutes came in.

I found an online pilates training that took exactly 15 minutes and do this three times a week. At lunch time, a quick 15 minute walk with our dog, Kona is a way to get away from my desk and at the same time, get more exercise in.

A mid afternoon break is a great time to put on my favorite music and dance for - you guessed it - 15 Minutes.

Kona loves her evening walks and never lets me forget to get another 15 minutes of exercise in. The truth is that as great of a benefit it is for her, it's also benefits me physically and mentally.

When witnessing what was getting achieved in just 15 minutes for exercise, I put that practice into both my personal and business goals.

Starting the day that nurtured my heart and soul was a top priority. Praying the Rosary and keeping an ongoing gratitude list were just a few ways that helped.

Planning out a meal plan that kept my husband and I eating healthy was another tool that took just 15 minutes and yet kept me on track with our goals.

Putting this practice into my business wasn't hard at all. As someone who uses social media to market my business, it is easy to get caught up with the drama that can sometimes happen. Instead, I've studied how to be productive with social media, stay connected with family and friends, and yes, it can be done in 15 minute time blocks!

It's easy to lose time with e-mails and so like everything else, a time block of 15 minutes in both the morning and afternoon helps to get that done in a timely manner.

So when an opportunity came for me to share a product that had proven results and positive peer reviewed studies, my first thought was the power of 15 minutes. Time blocking 15 minutes a few times a day to work at sharing the product has been powerful and is working.

As someone who wants to spend as much time with her family as possible, social selling has been instrumental in helping me to pursue that goal. It has become so important that my passion is sharing the power of 15 minutes with others.

You may feel that you have wanted to pursue the dream of being in better control of your time.

You may feel like your work schedule is keeping you from doing things that you are passionate about.

You may even have thought of starting a business, but made the same response I did when not knowing about the power of 15 minutes, "I just don't have the time".

Let's schedule a 15 minute phone call and talk about it. It costs you nothing except for 15 minutes of your time and may teach you a very valuable lesson - When you take care of the minutes of your day, the hours will take care of themselves.
