You Don't Need to Look Twenty to Live Fully

Somewhere along the way, many women began believing that living fully meant looking younger.
But God never asked us to chase youth.
He calls us to pursue abundant life.
Those are two very different things.
Abundant life isn't measured by the absence of wrinkles or the number on a birthday cake.
It's measured by the peace in your heart, the strength to serve your family, the energy to enjoy the people you love, and the joy that comes from walking closely with Christ.
As women, we often spend so much time wishing our bodies looked different that we forget to thank God for what they still allow us to do.
Your legs still carry you on morning walks.
Your hands prepare meals for those you love.
Your arms hold grandchildren.
Your voice speaks encouragement.
Your heart continues to grow in compassion.
Your life still matters.
Rather than asking, "How can I look younger?" perhaps we should ask, "How can I faithfully care for the body God has entrusted to me?"
That's the heart of Biblical wellness.
Not fearing aging, but honoring God by caring well for the gift He's given us.
When we nourish our bodies with wholesome food, embrace God's rhythms of rest, move with gratitude, and spend time in His presence, we're investing in a life of purpose and not just a youthful appearance.
The goal isn't to look twenty again.
The goal is to have the strength, clarity, and joy to live fully in the season God has placed us in.
Jesus said,
"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10:10)
That abundant life is available at every age.
And perhaps, in midlife, we are finally learning what it truly means.
