The Wellness Industry told me to look within; Scripture told me to look up...

There was a time when I believed the answer to better health was simply finding the right information.

The right diet.

The right workout.

The right morning routine.

Like so many women, I found myself chasing the next promise that claimed it would finally be the missing piece.

The wellness world has a lot to offer.

I've learned valuable things about nutrition, movement, sleep, and caring for the incredible body God created.

Those things matter.

But somewhere along the way, I realized something important.

The message I kept hearing sounded very different from the message I found in Scripture.

The world kept telling me to look within.

Trust yourself.

Become your own source of strength.

Find your truth.

Depend on your own power.

Yet every time I opened my Bible, God gently invited me to do something entirely different.

He invited me to look up.

To trust Him instead of myself.

To seek His wisdom before chasing the newest trend.

To remember that true peace doesn't come from perfect health; it comes from walking closely with the One who created me.

Proverbs 3:5–6 says:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Those words have become an anchor for me.

I've come to realize that Biblical wellness isn't about becoming obsessed with health.

It's about honoring God with the body He entrusted to us.

That changes everything.

Instead of striving, we learn stewardship.

Instead of fear, we find peace.

Instead of chasing perfection, we pursue faithfulness.

Instead of asking, "How can I create the perfect body?" we begin asking, "Lord, how can I faithfully care for the body You've given me?"

It's a subtle shift, but it changes the entire journey.

God designed our bodies with remarkable wisdom. He created rhythms of light and darkness, work and rest, nourishment and movement.

These rhythms are gifts. They're invitations to live in harmony with His design.

And here's what I've discovered.

The closer I draw to Christ, the more naturally I want to care for my health.

Not because I'm trying to earn His love, but because I already know I am loved.

When we understand our identity as daughters of God, healthy choices begin to flow from gratitude rather than guilt.

That's a much lighter way to live.

Does that mean we ignore science or stop learning? Not at all.

I'm grateful for the knowledge we've gained about nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, and reducing our toxic load. These tools can support the body in meaningful ways.

Scripture reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

Caring for them is an act of worship not because our bodies are our identity, but because they are gifts entrusted to us by God.

Perhaps that's why so many women feel weary.

They've spent years trying to control every detail of their health while carrying the weight of believing it all depends on them.

Friend, you were never meant to carry that burden alone.

You don't have to figure everything out before you can begin.

You don't have to be perfect before you're worthy of care.

You simply have to take the next faithful step.

Today, instead of looking inward for all the answers, look upward.

Ask God to guide your choices.

Ask Him to renew your mind.

Ask Him to help you see yourself the way He sees you.

Because lasting wellness isn't built on self-reliance.

It's built on daily dependence on the One who knit you together with purpose, wisdom, and love.

That is where true flourishing begins.

Ready to begin your own journey of Biblical wellness?

If you're longing to step away from the confusion of the wellness world and return to the simple, life-giving rhythms God designed, I'd love to walk alongside you.

Through my Biblical wellness teachings, I help women rediscover their God-given worth, honor the body He entrusted to them, and embrace health as an act of worship.
