Returning to God's Design; Why our Health has Become so Confusing

Have you ever felt like you're doing everything right… yet still feel exhausted, inflamed, or not quite yourself?

You do your best to eat well.

You take supplements.

And yet, something still feels off.

If you’ve ever felt this way, you are not alone. I’ve been there too.

For years, I believed that if I could just find the right diet, the right plan, or the right combination of products, everything would finally fall into place.

But instead of clarity, I found confusion.

Instead of peace, I found frustration.

And deep down, I began to wonder…

How did something God designed so beautifully become so complicated?

Scripture reminds us:

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace."— 1 Corinthians 14:33

If God is not the author of confusion, then perhaps the confusion we experience around our health isn’t coming from His design—but from drifting away from it.

God Created the Body with Wisdom and Order

From the very beginning, God created the human body with incredible precision and intention.

Your body was never designed to work against you. It was designed to work for you.

But over time, modern life has pulled us away from the natural rhythms God established.

We live under artificial light instead of sunlight. We experience constant stress instead of true rest. We consume more toxins than our bodies were ever meant to handle.

Slowly, quietly, these disruptions affect how our bodies function.

Fatigue increases.

Inflammation rises.

This happens as a result of the body being overburdened.

The Body Was Designed to Heal

One of the most profound truths I’ve learned on my own journey is this:

Your body still carries the blueprint God gave it.

Even after years of stress, illness, and inflammation, the body retains its God-given ability to restore and renew.

It is constantly working behind the scenes to protect you, repair damage, and bring you back into balance.

Psalm 139:14 reminds us:

"I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

You are not defective.

You are wonderfully made.

Your body is not your enemy. It is your ally.

When we begin to support the body the way God designed it to function, something remarkable happens.

Energy begins to return.

Inflammation begins to calm.

Sleep improves.

Not overnight. But faithfully.

Just as God designed.

Returning to the Rhythms God Established

Living healthy biblically isn’t about chasing perfection.

It’s about returning to the rhythms God established from the very beginning.

Rhythms of light and darkness.

Rhythms of work and rest.

Rhythms of nourishment and renewal.

Rhythms of peace instead of constant stress.

These rhythms are not modern inventions. They are ancient truths woven into creation itself.

When we realign with these rhythms, we are not forcing healing—we are allowing the body to do what God designed it to do.

A Gentle Invitation to Return

If your health has felt confusing, overwhelming, or discouraging, I want you to know this:

God has not abandoned His design.

And your body has not forgotten it.

Healing often begins not with doing more—but with returning to what was there all along.

Returning to His wisdom.

Returning to His rhythms.

Returning to His design.

And in that return, we often find not just better health… but deeper peace.

"Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."— Isaiah 40:31
